Article R7221-1 of the French Labour Code

The employer may impose on a domestic employee, with the exception, unless otherwise agreed, of the women and men of the household, an annual leave of a duration greater than that of the legal leave to which the person concerned is entitled.
In this case, the employer shall pay the person concerned, for the duration of the additional rest period, an allowance which may not be less than the sums which would be due for the same amount of statutory leave.
This additional time off and the corresponding compensation may not be deducted from future statutory holidays and the corresponding compensation.

L’employeur peut imposer à un employé de maison, à l’exclusion, sauf convention contraire, des femmes et des hommes de ménage, un congé annuel d’une durée supérieure à celle du congé légal auquel peut prétendre l’intéressé.
Dans ce cas l’employeur verse à l’intéressé, pendant toute la durée du repos supplémentaire, une indemnité qui ne peut être inférieure aux sommes qui seraient dues pour un même temps de congé légal.
Ce temps de repos supplémentaire et l’indemnité correspondante ne peuvent être imputés sur les congés légaux à venir et sur les indemnités correspondantes.
