Article R754-5 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Aforeign nationals placed or held in administrative detention who wish to apply for asylum may benefit, in order to present their application, from legal assistance provided by the legal entities mentioned in articles R. 744-20 and R. 744-21, in application of the agreements provided for in these same articles.
They may also benefit from linguistic assistance in order to present their application, under the conditions provided for in article R. 744-17.

Article R754-5

L’étranger placé ou maintenu en rétention administrative qui souhaite demander l’asile peut bénéficier, pour présenter sa demande, de l’assistance juridique apportée par les personnes morales mentionnées aux articles R. 744-20 et R. 744-21, en application des conventions prévues à ces mêmes articles.
Il peut bénéficier également d’une assistance linguistique pour présenter sa demande, dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 744-17.
