Article R821-7 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The administrative authority referred to in Article R.* 821-1 will notify the transport undertaking, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, of the draft penalty provided for in Article L.821-12.
The transport undertaking will be invited to submit any comments it may have within one month of this notification.
The file will be made available to it during this period. The administrative authority mentioned in article R.* 821-1 takes its decision after the one month period has expired, in the light of any observations that may have been submitted. The transport company will be notified of the written and reasoned decision by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.

L’autorité administrative mentionnée à l’article R.* 821-1 notifie à l’entreprise de transport, par lettre recommandée avec accusé de réception, le projet de sanction prévu à l’article L. 821-12.
L’entreprise de transport est invitée à faire valoir ses observations éventuelles dans le délai d’un mois à compter de cette notification.
Le dossier est mis à sa disposition pendant ce délai. L’entreprise peut se faire délivrer, à ses frais, copie de tout ou partie de la procédure.
L’autorité administrative mentionnée à l’article R.* 821-1 arrête sa décision après l’expiration du délai d’un mois, au vu des observations qui ont pu être produites. La décision écrite et motivée est notifiée à l’entreprise de transport par lettre recommandée avec accusé de réception.
