Title III: Provisions relating to Book III

Articles 711 to 832-2, 832-4 to 2279 are applicable to Mayotte subject to the adaptations set out in Articles 2504 à 2508. The provisions relating to immovable property apply only subject to the provisions of Title IV of this book.

For the application to Mayotte of the first paragraph of article 833, the references: “831 to 832-4” are replaced by the references: “831 to 832-1, 832-3 and 832-4”. For the application of the second paragraph of article 833, the words: “of article 832” are replaced by the words: “of articles 832 and 832-2”.

For the application to Mayotte of article 1873-13, the words: “831 to 832-1, 832-3 and 832-4” are replaced by the words: “832 to 832-2”.

The provisions of Title XIX of Book III and Title II of Book IV are applicable to Mayotte subject to the provisions of Title IV of this Book and the following provisions: 1° 4° of Article 2331 is applicable in Mayotte under the following conditions: a) (Repealed) b) The third paragraph is not applicable; c) The fourth paragraph is replaced by the following provisions: “The claim of the surviving spouse…
