Article 905-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure
For the purposes of this Code, the terms “investigating division” are replaced by the terms “investigating judge”. The articles 52-1,83-1 and 83-2 shall not apply.

By way of derogation from Article 193, the High Court of Appeal, as an investigating chamber, only meets when convened by its president or at the request of the public prosecutor, whenever necessary.
Articles L. 952-11 and L. 952-12 of the Code of Judicial Organisation relating to the replacement of the president of the High Court of Appeal and of the assessors and to the specific procedures for exercising judicial functions are applicable to the Investigating Chamber and to its president.
The time limits set out in Article 130, in the last paragraph of article 135-2 and the first paragraph of article 627-6 are extended to fifteen days when the transfer is made from the local authority.
