The Banque de France may enter into direct contact with companies and professional groups that are willing to participate in its surveys. The operations of the Banque de France and the activities referred to in the second paragraph of Article L. 142-2 are governed by civil and commercial law.

The real estate belonging to the Banque de France is subject to the provisions of the General Code on the Ownership of Public Property applicable to public establishments of the State. The movable assets belonging to the Banque de France may not be seized.

The administrative courts hear disputes relating to the internal administration of the Banque de France. It also hears disputes between the Banque de France and members of the General Council or its employees.

A decree in the Conseil d’Etat shall set the terms and conditions for the application of this Title. In particular, it shall specify the amount of the Banque de France’s capital, the procedures for drawing up its annual budget, financing its investments, presenting and closing its accounts, allocating its annual profits and remunerating the members of the General Council, as well as the procedures for electing the Banque de France…

A decree sets the maximum period during which information held by the Banque de France on the situation of managers and entrepreneurs may be disclosed to third parties.
