Section 2: Bed and breakfast.

The bed and breakfast rental activity referred to in article L. 324-3 is the grouped provision of overnight accommodation and breakfast. It is limited to a maximum of five rooms for a maximum capacity of fifteen people. Reception is provided by the guest.

Each guest room has access to a shower room and toilet. It complies with current health, safety and hygiene regulations. Household linen is provided as a minimum.

The declaration of rental of one or more guest rooms provided for in article L. 324-4 is sent to the mayor of the municipality in which the dwelling concerned is located by electronic means, by registered letter or by handing it in at the town hall, and must be acknowledged. Failure by a person offering one or more guest rooms for rent within the meaning of article D. 324-13 to comply with the obligation to declare set out in article L. 324-4 is punishable by the penalties laid down for third-class offences.
