CHAPTER II: Gifts and bequests

The Town Council decides on the acceptance of donations and legacies made to the commune.

When a gift or bequest is made to a hamlet or district that does not constitute a section of a commune, the municipal council decides whether to accept the donation. If it is accepted, the commune manages the property in the interests of the hamlet or district concerned.

Communal public establishments accept and refuse donations and legacies made to them.

The mayor may always, as a precautionary measure, accept gifts and legacies and, before authorisation, make any request for delivery. Communal public establishments may also, without prior authorisation, provisionally or as a precautionary measure, accept legacies made to them. The deliberation of the town council or the administrative commission, which takes place subsequently, has effect from the day of such acceptance.
