Organising a public sporting event in a non-approved venue or in breach of the requirements imposed by the approval is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 75,000 euros.
The penalties laid down in article L. 312-14 apply to the issuing or transfer, whether free of charge or for consideration, of admission tickets to a sporting event in excess of the number of spectators set by the approval order.
The penalties provided for in article L. 312-14 are doubled if the offender is also convicted of manslaughter or unintentional bodily harm.
In the event of a conviction for one of the offences mentioned in articles L. 312-14 to L. 312-16, the court may prohibit the organisation of public sporting events in the enclosure. Provisional enforcement of the prohibition may be ordered.
