Section 7: Cooperation between Asset Recovery Offices of the Member States in tracing and identifying the proceeds of crime or other crime-related property pursuant to Council Decision 2007/845/JHA of 6 December 2007

Within this framework, these services may obtain any useful information from any natural or legal person, public or private, without professional secrecy being enforceable against them, subject to the provisions of article 66-5 of Law no. 71-1130 of 31 December 1971 reforming certain judicial and legal professions.

The first two paragraphs of Article 695-9-40 are applicable to requests for information received by French asset recovery offices.

This section shall apply to the exchange of information referred to in Article 695-9-51 between French asset recovery offices and the competent authorities of States party to any convention containing provisions on the tracing, seizure and confiscation of the proceeds of crime.
