Chapter VI: Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin

Unless otherwise stipulated, the representative of the State in Saint-Barthélemy and the representative of the State in Saint-Martin exercise the powers devolved by the present code to the representative of the State in the département or region.

For the application of this code to the collectivities of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, the reference to the departmental council or departmental councils is replaced, unless otherwise provided, by the reference to the territorial councils or territorial council.

For the application of this code to the collectivities of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, references to the provisions of the General Tax Code relating to tobacco are replaced by references to locally applicable texts having the same purpose.
