The national disciplinary chamber is made up of twelve full members and twelve alternate members elected in equal numbers by the national council from among the members of that council on the one hand and the members and former members of the councils of the ordre on the other. The disciplinary chamber of first instance of the order of physicians of the Ile-de-France region comprises three sections of eight full members and eight substitute members each. The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur-Corsica inter-regional disciplinary chamber of first instance has two sections, each with eight full members and eight substitute members. Each section includes a full representative of the Corsican Regional Council and a deputy.

The Disciplinary Chamber of First Instance of the Réunion-Mayotte Medical Association comprises, in addition to its President, four full members and four substitute members. A decree in the Conseil d’Etat will set the terms and conditions for the election of its members and its operating and procedural rules.

In each region, a regional or inter-regional council is made up of a number of members set by decree, taking into account the number of doctors on the most recently published roll for each departmental council making up the region and the number of departments in each region.
