Chapter II: Psychomotrician.

The profession of psychomotrician is taken to mean any person who, not being a doctor, habitually performs professional acts of psychomotor re-education, as defined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat after consulting the Académie nationale de médecine. Psychomotricians practise their art on medical prescription.

Persons holding the diploma referred to in Article L. 4332-3 or the authorisation referred to in Article L. 4332-4 and whose diplomas, certificates, qualifications or authorisations have been registered in accordance with the first paragraph of Article L. 4333-1 may practise the profession of psychomotrician. The person concerned bears the professional title of psychomotrician, with or without a qualifier.

Psychomotricans may use their evidence of formal qualifications in the language of the State which issued them. He must indicate the place and establishment where it was obtained. In cases where the evidence of formal qualifications from the Member State or Party of origin is likely to be confused with evidence of formal qualifications requiring additional training in France, the competent authority may decide that the psychomotrician will refer to…

The diploma referred to in Article L. 4332-2 is the French State diploma in psychomotricism.

The competent authority may, after obtaining the opinion of a committee composed in particular of professionals, individually authorise to practise the profession of psychomotrician nationals of a Member State of the European Union or of another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area who, without possessing the diploma provided for in Article L. 4332-3, hold : 1° Evidence of formal qualifications issued by one or more Member…

The following shall be determined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat: 1° Where necessary, the professional rules ; 2° The composition and operation of the commission mentioned in article L. 4332-4 and the conditions under which the person concerned is subject to a compensation measure; 3° The procedures for verifying the professional qualifications mentioned in article L. 4332-6.
