Section V: Effect on insurance contracts of the requisition of goods and services.

An insured who wishes to obtain from the insurer that the cancellation of the insurance contract, as provided for in article L. 160-6, be replaced by the simple suspension of the contract, must submit a request to the insurer, by registered letter or by electronic registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, within one month of the day on which he became aware of the dispossession.

In the absence of notification made in accordance with article R. 160-9 and subject to the application of the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2 of article L. 160-8, the cancellation of the insurance contract takes effect from the date of dispossession of the requisitioned property.
