Section 1: Budget and contributions

The departmental council votes the department’s budget under the conditions set out in articles L. 3312-1 to L. 3312-7. It votes on the rates of taxation and levies authorised by law for the benefit of the department.

The departmental council apportions direct contributions each year, in accordance with the rules established by the laws. Before making this apportionment, it rules on requests for quota reductions deliberated on by the competent councils. The departmental council takes a final decision on requests for quota reductions made by the communes and previously submitted to the competent council. .

The departmental council decides on offers made by communes, associations or private individuals to contribute to any expenditure of departmental interest.
