Section 1: The cultural identity of Corsica: powers of the Corsican regional authority in the field of education and culture

As soon as work begins on the construction of a new establishment, the President of the Executive Council will inform the Prefect of Corsica of the planned date for its completion and the commissioning of the premises.

The financial resources provided by the State pursuant to the provisions of the last paragraph of article L. 4424-2 include the investment and operating expenses listed in Decree no. 85-269 of 25 February 1985 setting the list of educational expenses to be borne by the State in application of Article 14 of Law no. 83-663 of 22 July 1983.

The Assembly of Corsica distributes among the educational establishments mentioned in Article L. 4424-2 the subsidies provided for by this article. The academic services are made available, for this purpose and as necessary, to the Corsican collectivity in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph of article L. 4422-43. The academic authorities notify each establishment of the amount of subsidies it has been awarded. .

The higher education and research map drawn up by the Assembly of Corsica under the conditions provided for in article L. 4424-3 defines the types of training provided by Corsican higher education establishments as well as the location of these training courses and research and documentation activities. It includes in particular the training provided by the university institute for teacher training, the sections for higher technicians and the university institutes…

The agreement provided for in the second paragraph of Article L. 4424-3 sets out in particular the multiannual financial commitment of the Corsican local authority, the State and the University of Corsica.
