Section 5: Technical Agency for Information on Hospitalisation

The agency is administered by a Board of Directors and managed by a Chief Executive Officer.

The Chairman of the Agency’s Board of Directors is appointed by joint order of the Ministers of Health, Social Affairs and Social Security. Any vacancy or loss of the position in respect of which the members of the Board of Directors have been appointed shall give rise to a replacement for the remainder of the term of office.

The duties of a member of the Board of Directors are performed free of charge. They are entitled to travel and subsistence allowances under the conditions set out in article R. 1413-7.

The Board of Directors meets at least twice a year and is convened by its Chairman or, if the Chairman is unable to attend, by the Managing Director if there is an urgent need to do so.
