Under conditions set by their internal regulations, the amount of the allowances that the Paris Council or the Marseille and Lyon City Councils allocate to their members is adjusted according to their actual attendance at plenary sessions. Any reduction in this amount may not exceed, for each member, half of the allowance that may be allocated to him pursuant to this article.

Deputy allowances paid to arrondissement mayors may not exceed the maximum allowances paid to deputy mayors of the municipality or of Paris. The functional allowance for deputy mayors of the arrondissements of Paris, Marseille and Lyon who are not municipal councillors or councillors of Paris is at most equal to that provided for municipal councillors of the commune or for councillors of Paris.

The functional allowance of Paris councillors invested with the duties of Paris arrondissement mayor is at most equal to 128.5% of the reference term mentioned in I of article L. 2123-20.
