As from the transfer of the national road network to an overseas region, the president of the regional council manages the transferred domain. In this capacity, he shall exercise the police powers relating to this management, in particular with regard to traffic on this domain subject to the powers devolved by this code to the mayor and the prefect. .

The prefect may, in the event that this has not been done by the president of the regional council and after a formal notice has remained without result, exercise the powers devolved to the president of the regional council in police matters by virtue of article L. 4433-24-1-1. .

A decree in the Conseil d’Etat shall determine the conditions of application of this sub-section.
