When the mission order referred to in article R. 232-46 provides for urine to be collected, the person in charge of the test or the escort provided for in article R. 232-56 who directly monitors urination must be of the same sex as the person being tested.

The person responsible for the inspection may be assisted, in the operations listed in articles R. 232-49 and R. 232-50, either by another approved person or by a person who has undergone training prior to the issue of the approval.

From the moment the person concerned is notified of the decision ordering the test until the end of the sampling and screening operations, the person tested remains accompanied at all times by the person in charge of the test or by an escort.

The anti-doping delegate appoints the escorts made available to the person in charge of the test. He may perform this function himself. The person in charge of testing shall ensure that the escorts so appointed have undergone the training provided for in article R. 232-57. The person being tested must be present during all testing operations. The person in charge of the test immediately draws up a report of the conditions under which he/she carried out the sampling and screening operations. When an athlete designated to be tested fails to comply with all or part of the procedures described in article R. 232-49, including by refusing to complete the test report, the person in charge of testing shall mention all of these circumstances in the report. He may obtain written testimony from persons who witnessed the events and attach their statements to the report.

The anti-doping delegate is required, at the request of the person in charge of the test, to participate in the selection of the athletes to be tested and to assist the latter in the test operations. He may not be present during the operations provided for in 1° to 3° of article R. 232-49.
