Subsection 5: Conditions for referral to the Agency by academies, medical or scientific learned societies and approved associations

Article D1418-36 of the French Public Health Code

In application of Article L. 1418-1, the academies, learned medical or scientific societies and approved associations mentioned in Article L. 1114-1 may refer to the Agence de la biomédecine any request for advice or information on medical, scientific or ethical issues falling within the Agency’s areas of competence.

The head of the applicant body or association must send the application to the Director General of the Agency by letter or electronically. It must state the reasons on which it is based and be accompanied by all the documents required for its examination.
