Subsection 3: Conditions relating to termination of pregnancy by medication

The doctor or midwife will inform the woman in writing of the protocol to be followed for the voluntary interruption of pregnancy by medication. The woman is invited to be accompanied by the person of her choice, particularly during consultations when the medication is administered.

The doctor or midwife will inform the woman of the measures to be taken in the event of side effects and will ensure that she has analgesic treatment and that she can get to the health establishment that has signed the agreement within an hour.

The doctor or midwife will deliver to the woman the medicines required to carry out the voluntary interruption of pregnancy. By way of derogation from the provisions of the first paragraph, in the context of a teleconsultation referred to in 1° of article R. 6316-1, the medicines required for the voluntary termination of pregnancy are prescribed by the doctor or midwife and dispensed by a dispensing chemist.
