Doctors specialising in medical biology may not associate with doctors practising in other disciplines.

The company is formed subject to the condition precedent of its registration on the Roll of the Association. The application for registration is submitted collectively by the partners and sent to the Conseil départemental de l’ordre where the company’s registered office is located, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, accompanied by : 1° A copy of the company’s Articles of Association and, if any have been drawn up, of…

Within a period of one month, the company shall notify the conseil départemental de l’ordre of all contracts and amendments whose purpose is defined in the first and second paragraphs of article L. 4113-9. Within the same time limit, it must also send the company’s internal rules if they were drawn up after the company was incorporated.

The Conseil départemental de l’ordre shall decide on the application for registration within the time limits set out in article L. 4112-3.

Registration may only be refused if the articles of association submitted do not comply with the legislative and regulatory provisions, and in particular with the Code of Ethics. Registration may also be refused in the case provided for in article L. 4113-11.

Reasons shall be given for any decision to refuse registration. It shall be notified by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to each of the parties concerned. The decision may only be taken after the interested parties have been invited to present any oral or written explanations to the Association Council. Decisions by the Departmental Council regarding registration on the roll of professional partnerships may be appealed under the conditions laid down in article L. 4112-4.
