After receiving the opinion of the Commission nationale de sécurité des enceintes sportives, the Prefect approves outdoor sports arenas with a capacity of 15,000 spectators or more and indoor sports arenas with a capacity of 8,000 spectators or more.

The Prefect submits the application for approval, together with the attached documents and the opinion of the Departmental Safety and Accessibility Advisory Committee, to the National Sports Venue Safety Committee.
