Paragraph 9: Special provisions for people with disabilities

The specialised committee authorised to propose the implementation of special provisions for disabled people applying for a sports educator’s certificate is chaired by the person in charge of employment and training at the Ministry of Sport, or his/her representative.

The Commission provided for in article A. 212-158 is consulted by the Regional Director for Youth, Sport and the Voluntary Sector at the request of disabled persons who wish to have adaptations made to the organisation of the examination or training leading to the three-level “brevet d’Etat d’éducateur sportif”.

This committee comprises : 1° The National Technical Director of the French Disabled Sports Federation, or his or her representative, or the National Technical Director of the French Federation of Adapted Sports, or his or her representative, depending on the nature of the disability; 2° The National Technical Director of the sports federation concerned by the option chosen by the candidate for the State Certificate in Sports Education; 3° A…

In the light of the opinion issued by the specialised sub-committee, the Regional Director for Youth, Sport and the Voluntary Sector decides on any adjustments to the training or examination leading to the award of the three-degree State Certificate in Sports Education in the chosen sports option.
