Chapter II: Infringements of provisions relating to cinematographic exhibition permits

It is punishable by a fine of 45,000 euros to put into circulation or represent a cinematographic work that lacks the exhibition visa provided for in article L. 211-1 or in breach of the conditions mentioned on this visa.

As soon as the offence has been established, the criminal investigation department may seize the print run and exploitation media of the works unlawfully put into circulation or represented. The procedures set out in articles 56 and 57 of the Code of Criminal Procedure apply to this seizure.

In the event of conviction to the penalty provided for in Article L. 432-1, the court may, in addition, prohibit the convicted person for a period not exceeding ten years from exercising either a managerial function or any industrial or commercial activity in the cinema sector.
