The Ecole Nationale des Sports de Montagne comprises two sites, the Ecole Nationale de Ski et d’Alpinisme in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (Haute-Savoie) and the Centre National de Ski Nordique et de Moyenne Montagne in Prémanon (Jura). Its head office is in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

The National Mountain Sports School is responsible for : 1° To develop teaching methods for skiing and mountain sports; 2° The training and further training of coaches and technical and supervisory staff for national teams and clubs; 3° Training, supervising the training and further training of professionals in mountain sports and preparing them for diplomas leading to these professions as well as professional activities related to its area of competence;…

I.-The National Ski and Mountaineering School’s areas of activity include : 1° Alpine skiing and related activities; 2° Mountaineering and related activities; 3° hang-gliding. II – The areas of activity of the National Centre for Nordic and Mid-Mountain Skiing are in particular: 1° Nordic disciplines ; 2° Mid-mountain physical and sporting activities.
