Paragraph 2: Operation

The Ecole nationale des sports de montagne is administered by a Board of Directors and managed by a Director General, Director of the Ecole nationale de ski et d’alpinisme, assisted by a Deputy Director of the Ecole nationale de ski et d’alpinisme and a Director of the Centre national de ski nordique et de moyenne montagne. A steering committee is set up for each of the school’s sites.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors is appointed by the Minister for Sport from among the members mentioned in 5° of article D. 211-55, for a period of three years. In the event of temporary impediment, he is replaced by another member of the Board of Directors appointed by the Minister for Sport.

The Steering Committees are chaired by the school’s Chief Executive Officer or his representative.

The terms of office of members of the Board of Directors and the Policy Councils are three years and may be renewed. The Policy Councils are informed, in particular, of issues relating to the activity of the site and of the draft resolutions of the Board of Directors relating to the issues mentioned in 1°, 2°, 4°, 5° and 15° of article D. 211-59. They may be consulted by their chairman or by a majority of their members on any matter concerning the life of the establishment.
