Section 3: Operation

The Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council sits in the administrative centre of the collectivity. In agreement with the President of the Assembly of French Guyana, its President may convene it in any other location.

The Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council meets when convened by its chairman. The notice of meeting shall be accompanied by the agenda. At least twelve days before the meeting, the chairman shall send the members of the council a report on each of the matters to be submitted to them.

The Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council is convened by its chairman when it receives a request for an opinion from the president of the Assembly of French Guyana. The president of the Assembly of French Guyana informs the Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council of the action taken on these opinions. .

The Chairman of the Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council is responsible for policing the meetings.

The representative of the State and the president of the assembly of French Guyana may be heard by the economic, social, environmental, culture and education council with their agreement or at their request. Any qualified person may be heard by the council or its committees.
