Paragraph 2: Criminal penalties

Failing to provide the customer with a copy of the contract provided for in article L. 224-97 or delivering a contract that does not comply with the provisions of article L. 224-98 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros.

Failure to comply with the obligations set out in article L. 224-99 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros.

Natural persons found guilty of offences punishable under articles L. 242-36 and L. 242-37 also incur, as additional penalties, the prohibition, in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 131-27 of the Penal Code, to hold a public office or to carry out the professional or social activity in the exercise or on the occasion of the exercise of which the offence was committed, or to carry out a…
