Paragraph 2: Prohibition on dilution

I. – The deliberate dilution of radioactive substances, including waste, materials and effluents contaminated by such substances, in order to comply with a requirement, a threshold or a limit is prohibited. II. – A specific authorisation for dilution may be issued, by way of derogation, by the competent authority for the purposes of reuse or recycling.
