Subsection 3: Registration system

I.-The nuclear activities defined in Article R. 1333-104 and included on a list drawn up by decision of the Nuclear Safety Authority approved by the Minister responsible for radiation protection are subject to registration. The registration application must be accompanied by a file containing : 1° In the case of a natural person, their surname, first name, position and contact details; 2° In the case of a legal entity, its name or corporate name, its legal form and the address of its registered office; 3° A description of the proposed nuclear activity; 4° Supporting evidence consisting of the information referred to in Article R….

The decision to reclassify the registration application as an authorisation application, as provided for in IV of Article L. 1333-8, may be made within four months of the date of receipt of the registration application.

The Nuclear Safety Authority will give its decision within six months. If there is no response within this period, the nuclear activity will be registered.

Registration is notified to the natural or legal person responsible for the nuclear activity and is not transferable. The registration decision includes, where appropriate, any adjustments requested by the person responsible for the nuclear activity. When such adjustments are requested, the Nuclear Safety Authority informs the applicant of the draft decision and allows the applicant a period of time in which to submit comments.
