Section 3: Inadmissibility decisions

When the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons takes a decision of inadmissibility in the case provided for in 1° or 2° of Article L. 531-32, it shall rule within one month of the submission of the application or, if the grounds for inadmissibility are revealed during the interview, within one month of this interview.

For the application of 2° of Article L. 531-32, the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons shall refer the matter to the competent Prefect, providing all the information required for verification, in order to ensure that the applicant is in fact eligible for readmission to the country where he or she enjoys refugee status.This referral suspends the time limit laid down in Article R. 531-30.Failing a…
