Subsection 2: Foreign nationals staying as au pairs

For the application of the third paragraph of article L. 426-22, standard models for the agreement and appendix are established by order of the minister responsible for immigration. The agreement sets out the weekly rest arrangements which guarantee at least one day of rest each week.An order of the minister responsible for immigration also sets out the minimum amount paid each month to the young au pair as pocket money.

A foreign national who meets the conditions for renewal of the temporary residence permit bearing the wording “young au pair” provided for in article L. 426-22 is issued with a permit for a period equal to that of the new agreement. The total period of residence on this basis may not exceed two years. .
