The translation of essential documents may relate only to those passages of these documents that are relevant to enabling the civil party to exercise its rights. The relevant passages of these documents are determined, depending on the stage of the proceedings, by the public prosecutor, the investigating judge or the trial court hearing the case.

The translation must take place within a reasonable time that allows the rights of the civil party to be exercised and takes account of the number and complexity of the documents to be translated, and the language into which they must be translated.
