Chapter IV: Provisions relating to exceptional support for companies producing and distributing cinematographic works during the period of resumption of theatrical exhibition of cinematographic works

In order to encourage the resumption of theatrical exhibition of cinematographic works, the methods for calculating the sums representing the automatic financial aid to which production companies and distribution companies are entitled, due to the commercial representation of cinematographic works in cinemas between 22 June 2020 and 1 September 2020, are set out in articles 914-2 and 914-3.

For production companies, notwithstanding Articles 211-26, 211-27 and 810-1, the calculation rates are set at : – 167.81% when the total revenue from feature films is less than or equal to €307,500;– 134.24% when the total revenue from feature films is greater than €307,500 and less than or equal to €3,075,000;– 167.81% when the total revenue from feature films is greater than €3,075,000 and less than or equal to €6,150,000;–…

As from 2 September 2020, the rates resulting from the application of articles 211-26, 211-27, 222-4 and 810-1 are determined by taking into account, in addition to the revenue generated as from this date, the revenue generated between 22 June 2020 and 1 September 2020.
