Article 1 of the French Customs Code

1. The customs territory comprises the territories and territorial waters of mainland France, Corsica, the French coastal islands, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Réunion, Mayotte and Saint-Martin.

2. Free zones, exempt from all or part of the customs regime, may be set up in the aforementioned territories.

3. Foreign territories or parts of foreign territories may be included in the customs territory.

1. Le territoire douanier comprend les territoires et les eaux territoriales de la France continentale, de la Corse, des îles françaises voisines du littoral, de la Guadeloupe, de la Guyane, de la Martinique, de La Réunion, de Mayotte et de Saint-Martin.

2. Des zones franches, soustraites à tout ou partie du régime des douanes, peuvent être constituées dans les territoires susvisés.

3. Des territoires ou parties de territoires étrangers peuvent être inclus dans le territoire douanier.
