Article 1055-2 of the French Code of civil procedure

Where the public prosecutor opposes the change of first name pursuant to the provisions of the last paragraph of article 60 of the Civil Code, the claim is brought against him before the family affairs judge of the judicial court with which the public prosecutor exercises his functions.

Article 1055-2

Lorsque le procureur de la République s’oppose au changement de prénom en application des dispositions du dernier alinéa de l’article 60 du code civil, la demande est portée contre lui devant le juge aux affaires familiales du tribunal judiciaire auprès duquel le procureur de la République exerce ses fonctions.
