Article 1239 of the French Code of civil procedure

Unless otherwise provided, the decisions of the guardianship judge and the deliberations of the family council may be appealed.

Without prejudice to the provisions of articles 1239-1 to 1239-3, the appeal is open to the persons listed in articles 430 and 494-1 of the Civil Code, even if they did not intervene in the proceedings.

The time limit for appeal is fifteen days.

The parties are not required to constitute a lawyer.

Sauf disposition contraire, les décisions du juge des tutelles et les délibérations du conseil de famille sont susceptibles d’appel.

Sans préjudice des dispositions prévues par les articles 1239-1 à 1239-3, l’appel est ouvert aux personnes énumérées aux articles 430 et 494-1 du code civil, même si elles ne sont pas intervenues à l’instance.

Le délai d’appel est de quinze jours.

Les parties ne sont pas tenues de constituer avocat.
