Article 1329 of the French Code of civil procedure

The following must be called to the inventory:

1° The surviving spouse or partner in a civil solidarity pact;

2° All those claiming to have a right to inherit;

3° The executor of the will if the will is known;

4° The agent appointed to administer the estate.

The applicant shall call them to the inventory no later than twenty days before the date set for its completion, unless they have expressly dispensed with this call.

Doivent être appelés à l’inventaire :

1° Le conjoint survivant ou le partenaire d’un pacte civil de solidarité ;

2° Tous ceux qui prétendent avoir une vocation successorale ;

3° L’exécuteur testamentaire si le testament est connu ;

4° Le mandataire désigné pour l’administration de la succession.

Le requérant les appelle à l’inventaire au plus tard vingt jours avant la date prévue pour sa réalisation, à moins qu’ils ne l’aient expressément dispensé de cet appel.
