Article 133-2 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Unless it occurs less than three months before the expiry of the term of office, any vacancy, for whatever reason, or loss of the capacity in respect of which the members of the Commission were appointed, gives rise to the appointment of a new member for the remainder of the term of office.
With the exception of the Chairman and, where applicable, the Vice-Chairmen, the members of the committee may be represented by alternates appointed under the same conditions.
When they are not represented by an alternate, the members of a committee may give a mandate to another member. No member may hold more than one mandate.

Article 133-2

Sauf si elle intervient moins de trois mois avant l’échéance du mandat, toute vacance, pour quelque cause que ce soit, ou perte de la qualité au titre de laquelle les membres de la commission ont été désignés, donne lieu à la nomination d’un nouveau membre pour la durée du mandat restant à courir.
A l’exception du président et, le cas échéant, des vice-présidents, les membres de la commission peuvent se faire représenter par des suppléants nommés dans les mêmes conditions.
Lorsqu’ils ne sont pas suppléés, les membres d’une commission peuvent donner un mandat à un autre membre. Nul ne peut détenir plus d’un mandat.
