Article 222-14 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Direct allocations are granted in addition to the sums invested by distribution companies under article 222-7 when the following conditions are met:
1° The cinematographic works are French-initiated;
2° The cinematographic works have a production cost of less than €8,000,000.

Des allocations directes sont attribuées en complément des sommes investies par les entreprises de distribution au titre de l’article 222-7 lorsque les conditions suivantes sont remplies :
1° Les œuvres cinématographiques sont d’initiative française ;
2° Les œuvres cinématographiques ont un coût de production inférieur à 8 000 000 €.
