Article 222-15 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

For cinematographic works with a production cost of less than €4,000,000, the amount of the direct allocation is equal to 50% of the amount invested by the distribution companies. The total amount of direct allocations granted to a single distribution company in the course of a year may not exceed €125,000.
For cinematographic works whose production cost is equal to or greater than €4,000,000 and less than €8,000,000, the amount of the direct allocation is equal to 25% of the amount of the sums invested by the distribution companies, up to a maximum of €250,000 per year.
For the application of the ceilings provided for in the first and second paragraphs, the direct allocations allocated to the distribution companies controlled by the same person or persons are taken into account.

Pour les œuvres cinématographiques dont le coût de production est inférieur à 4 000 000 €, le montant de l’allocation directe est égal à 50 % du montant des sommes investies par les entreprises de distribution sans que le montant total des allocations directes attribuées à une même entreprise de distribution au cours d’une année ne puisse excéder 125 000 €.
Pour les œuvres cinématographiques dont le coût de production est supérieur ou égal à 4 000 000 € et inférieur à 8 000 000 €, le montant de l’allocation directe est égal à 25 % du montant des sommes investies par les entreprises de distribution sans que le montant total des allocations directes attribuées à une même entreprise de distribution au cours d’une année ne puisse excéder 250 000 €.
Pour l’application des plafonds prévus aux premier et second alinéas, sont prises en compte les allocations directes attribuées aux entreprises de distribution contrôlées par la ou les mêmes personnes.
