Article 223-2 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The following are eligible for aid for the distribution of previously unreleased works:
1° Cinematographic works of French or foreign origin presenting particular artistic qualities;
2° Cinematographic works benefiting from selective production aid before or after completion which are the first feature-length cinematographic works of their directors.

Article 223-2

Sont éligibles aux aides à la distribution d’œuvres inédites :
1° Les œuvres cinématographiques d’origine française ou étrangère présentant des qualités artistiques particulières ;
2° Les œuvres cinématographiques bénéficiaires d’une aide sélective à la production avant ou après réalisation qui sont les premières œuvres cinématographiques de longue durée de leurs réalisateurs.
