Direct allocations are awarded when the following conditions are met:
1° Cinematographic establishments organise an average number of film screenings per cinema equal to or greater than 400 per year during the reference period defined in article 231-13;
2° The distribution index for art house cinematographic works that are not widely distributed and qualified as “research and discovery” is equal to or greater than 6.
The distribution index for art house cinematographic works that are not widely distributed and qualified as “research and discovery” is calculated according to the following formula: i = (a + 2b)/3.
In this formula :
-i represents the distribution index for art house cinematographic works that are not widely distributed and qualified as “research and discovery”;
-a represents the ratio between the total number of art house cinematographic works that are not widely distributed and qualified as “research and discovery” programmed in the establishment and the total number of cinematographic works programmed in the establishment, during the reference period defined in article 231-13 ;
-b is the ratio between the total number of screenings of art cinematographic works that are not widely screened and qualified as “research and discovery” organised in the establishment and the total number of screenings of art cinematographic works organised in the establishment, during the reference period defined in article 231-13.
