Article 622-2 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Revision and review may be requested:

1° By the Minister of Justice;

2° By the public prosecutor at the Cour de cassation;

3° By the convicted person or, in the event of incapacity, by his legal representative;

4° After the death or declared absence of the convicted person, by his spouse, the partner linked by a civil solidarity pact, his cohabitee, his children, his parents, his grandchildren or great-grandchildren, or his universal or universal legatees.

Revision may also be requested by the public prosecutors at the courts of appeal.

Article 622-2

La révision et le réexamen peuvent être demandés :

1° Par le ministre de la justice ;

2° Par le procureur général près la Cour de cassation ;

3° Par le condamné ou, en cas d’incapacité, par son représentant légal ;

4° Après la mort ou l’absence déclarée du condamné, par son conjoint, le partenaire lié par un pacte civil de solidarité, son concubin, ses enfants, ses parents, ses petits-enfants ou arrière-petits-enfants, ou ses légataires universels ou à titre universel.

La révision peut, en outre, être demandée par les procureurs généraux près les cours d’appel.
