Article 687 of the French Code of civil procedure

The public prosecutor shall inform the requesting authority of the steps taken; he or she shall, where appropriate, forward to the requesting authority any minutes or receipts recording the delivery of the copy of the document, to be appended to the first original. If the service was requested by a bailiff, the bailiff will keep these documents at the court’s disposal.

Le procureur de la République informe l’autorité requérante des diligences faites ; il lui transmet, le cas échéant, tout procès-verbal ou récépissé constatant la remise de la copie de l’acte, pour être annexé au premier original. Si la notification a été requise par un huissier de justice, celui-ci tient ces documents à la disposition de la juridiction.
