Article 694-39 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The judge hearing the case may refuse the assistance of the authorities of the issuing State in the execution of the investigation decision on national territory only if it appears likely to reduce the rights of the parties and the procedural guarantees applying the fundamental principles provided for in the preliminary article or likely to harm the fundamental interests of the Nation.

Le magistrat saisi ne peut refuser l’assistance des autorités de l’Etat d’émission à l’exécution de la décision d’enquête sur le territoire national que si elle apparaît de nature à réduire les droits des parties et les garanties procédurales appliquant les principes fondamentaux prévus à l’article préliminaire ou de nature à nuire aux intérêts fondamentaux de la Nation.
