Article 706-42 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Without prejudice to the rules of jurisdiction applicable when a natural person is also suspected or prosecuted, the following shall have jurisdiction:

1° The public prosecutor and the courts of the place where the offence was committed;

2° The public prosecutor and the courts of the place where the legal person has its registered office.

These provisions are not exclusive of the possible application of the special rules of jurisdiction provided by articles 704-1, 705 and 706-17 relating to economic and financial offences and acts of terrorism.

Sans préjudice des règles de compétence applicables lorsqu’une personne physique est également soupçonnée ou poursuivie, sont compétents :

1° Le procureur de la République et les juridictions du lieu de l’infraction ;

2° Le procureur de la République et les juridictions du lieu où la personne morale a son siège.

Ces dispositions ne sont pas exclusives de l’application éventuelle des règles particulières de compétence prévues par les articles 704-1, 705 et 706-17 relatifs aux infractions économiques et financières et aux actes de terrorisme.
