The territorial jurisdiction of a judicial court and an assize court may be extended to the jurisdiction of one or more courts of appeal for the investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment of crimes and offences falling within the scope of Articles 706-73, with the exception of 11°, 11° bis and 18°, 706-73-1, excluding the 11°, or 706-74, in cases that are or would appear to be of great complexity.
This jurisdiction extends to related offences.
A decree shall determine the list and jurisdiction of these courts, which shall comprise a section of the public prosecutor’s office and specialised investigating and trial panels to hear these offences.
However, the Judicial Court and the Assize Court of Paris exercise concurrent jurisdiction throughout the national territory for the investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment of the crimes and misdemeanours mentioned in the first paragraph of this article, in cases that are or would appear to be of very great complexity, due in particular to the geographical jurisdiction over which they extend.
